Overview

This policy explains how Pindu handles information across its website, Reader app, and Anki add-on. We do not sell personal information.

Information We Collect

Website. Google Analytics records visits and general device and location information. If you join the mailing list, Resend processes your email address.

Reader app. Pindu stores your account identity, level and interests, generated passages, vocabulary lookups, reading activity, and feedback. It also records app errors and a limited set of usage events, together with technical identifiers and app context. Error reports exclude email addresses, passage text, sign-in tokens, and raw error messages.

Anki add-on. Deck contents, reviews, and learning data remain on your device and are not sent to Pindu. The add-on sends pseudonymous usage events, app and system versions, and error categories through Pindu's analytics service unless you opt out in its settings. Content used with AI features is sent to the AI provider handling the request.

How We Use Your Information

We use this information to operate, administer, secure, analyze, and improve Pindu; provide requested features; communicate with you; and comply with legal obligations.

Data Sharing

We share information only as needed with service providers and professional advisers, to protect Pindu or its users, when required by law, or as part of a financing, acquisition, or asset transfer. Service providers support hosting, authentication, email, analytics, and AI text or speech generation. Content sent to AI providers does not include your identity.

Retention

Reader data is kept while your account is active or as needed to operate the service. Mailing-list information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Diagnostic and analytics data is kept only as long as reasonably needed to maintain and improve Pindu.

Your Rights

You may request a copy, correction, or deletion of your Pindu data by emailing contact@readpindu.com. You may unsubscribe from emails at any time, disable website analytics through your browser, and opt out of add-on analytics in the add-on settings.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
